It has officially been a year since I started this blog! It’s also been about a year and then some since I started knitting. I can honestly say that it has been quite fun to watch as my projects and skills progress and I’ve learning a lot along the way.
I do have thank several people (via Twitter users) for their help along the way and if I forgot someone, I do apologize and it’s not intentional: @MaiaSpins, @theindigomuse, @ojollyknitting, @knit1eat1, @make1inc, and especially @badapplebettie who even though I’m sure I annoy her at times, she’s still patient enough to try to help me figure something out.
I haven’t updated in a while, but I currently have two projects going on. One is the large granny square blanket that I am making for a coworker who is expecting her first baby in July. I’m close to done, but ran out of a color with about 4 squares left so I’m waiting for that to get here. After I finish the squares, I just have to do the edging.
The other project is a scarf based on this one. I modified the pattern a bit to keep it from rolling after it gets blocked. I did a swatch and that method worked. I’m planning to put it up on Ravelry at some point soon.
I can’t believe that it’s already been a year, but I’m sure before I know it another will have passed and then another and another.
Another update is that I’m sad to say that my Gauge Guide project as I planned it is unfortunately not going to work out. The APIs I planned to use are doing nothing but fighting with me and I haven’t been able to find useful help. BUT I do have another idea that I’m going to map all out on paper and see if I think I’ll be up for working on it. That other idea will incorporate the gauge guide project in it.
